Accessibility statement
How far this website complies with the accessibility act, what is not yet accessible and how to report it to us.
The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Catholic Faculty of Theology in Đakovo, is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with the Croatian Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette 17/19), which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102. This statement applies to the website of the PAXMED project.
Compliance status
The PAXMED website is partially compliant with the Act, because of the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
- Text alternatives for photographs. Photographs that are purely decorative deliberately carry no text alternative. Some photographs in the news galleries have no description conveying their content.
- Documents in the archive. Some documents are published as PDF files. Files created before this statement are not necessarily prepared so that a screen reader can read them in full.
Removing these shortcomings is planned during the course of the project. We will gladly provide any content you cannot access in another format — simply write to the address in the next section.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 24 September 2026, on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by the institution. The assessment covered every public page at screen widths from 375 to 1440 pixels, and checked heading order, form labels, text alternatives for images and keyboard operation.
The statement was last reviewed on 20 October 2026.
The review covered the contact form, which has sent messages directly from the website since October 2026. Every field has a label, screen readers announce required fields as required, the form can be completed and sent using the keyboard alone with a visible focus indicator, and the success or error message is announced to screen readers. Protection against automated messages (reCAPTCHA) works in the background and never asks visitors to solve a challenge.
